Recently got a Vtr & when i sit in either front seat they slighty rock forwards & back, noticed this on 3 cars that i looked at,is it a common problem & can it be fixed?.I like the idea of going for a bucket seat of some kind but i have noticed the cable under the seat,is that for the seat belt pre-tensioner?.

It is a common fault in saxo's, I've never come across a fix!

You mean just the back rest rocks forwards and backwards - not the entire seat?

The orange cable is to do with either the tensioner or the airbag, not sure which...

Ive never came across an entire saxo seat rocking, its normally just the back rests. You sure the seat is bolted down properly/tightly?

Il'l look to see if its secured properly. If i decide to go for a bucket seat are they an easy swap (mean as in regarding the seat belt buckle as its attached to the standard seat).

The only issue is getting the right subframe. Apparently the seats from Imprezas use a vaery similar subframe, and slot in nicely. You might have to weld a plate on front and back to stop the seats sliding off the rails.

You should be able to find aftermarket subframes to fit most bucket seats though.

Only thing you can do is take the seat out, turn it upside down, and tighten every visible bolt underneath, thats what I did with mine and mine were pretty solid after.
