So long as its calibrated i don't see the problem in having a cheaper torque wrench for occasional use, i don't know whether i'd like to rely on it for tightening things like head bolts etc though.

    honestly none of them mate.

save up and buy a decent one like
    http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165469
    for the little stuff
    and
    http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165469
    for the big stuff.

Both have the lifetime exchange guarantee so well worth the extra.

    Vauxhall calibra garage.

Seriously, get the halfords one. The cheaper ones like what you have posted are as good as a single use. Pay more, and save more in the long run. How frustrating will it be if you needed a tool and you go to use it but it breaks because its cheap. 10pm at night, shops are closed. Helpless.

Yeh sorry the 1's in ur first post, iv had mine (1/2 inch) for the last ermmm 8-9 years and its never let me down. Iv been a motorspor mechanic/technician since leaving school 10 years ago and when ever i need somthing torquing down (90% of stuff) thats what i use.

as for calibration we had a van pop round every now and agin but i would gess that any good workshop would either have a van pop round or a traind guy n a recalibrating tool.

If i had the cash i would of got a better 1 like Facom, britool, snap-on etc for the quality n gurantee but iv been mega impressed with it. but for any thing smaller like 1/4 or 3/8 i would get a better 1 just for pice of mind.
