Temperature light stays on

   Help, My temperature red light stays on and i dont know why, anyone got any ideas what i can do to solve it?

   Hi, im having the same problem at the mo. dose you coolant fan come on when the ignition is turned on? try going down the route bleeding the coolant system first. then if that dose not cure it checked the engine sensors that control engine temp. i.e coolant temp sensor? also if you can get your hands on a code reader to see if there are ony codes in the engine ecu that would be a big help, if you can and you need the codes identifying just let me know and i will try to help as best as i can.

   might be a knackered coolant temp sensor!

   do not just disconnect the sensor - big no no trust a scrappy did it to mine when i went looking for one.
   mine was the sensor and it would be on no matter what

   Why do you say not to just disconnect a temp sensor?
