Approx how much does a de cat affect VTR fuel economy?

I know its quite a difficult querey to answer but just a rough idea would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I get about 80 miles to £15 in my VTR, but I think I've got a blow in my exhaust somewhere as it sounds really air-y from the front windows!

That's with a full Supersprint system, including decat pipe, standard manifold though.

I try to drive economically most of the time too, but do like to give a bit of go in the 60's

I have a decat on the GTI but it came like it so can't compare
I can scrape 140 miles out of £20 if motorway miles
Usually about 115 miles combined and 90-100 miles if town driving

As always depends on how you drive, I had a decat on my Mk1 and the mpg was either the same or very slightly worse - like 15miles less to a full tank if that.

Thats what I would hope for tbh and yours is a 16v aswell so I may even get more.

No diff at all... Apart from my foot being heavier because the sound is so fricking awesome

mk1 shouldnt make a difference as there's only one lambda sensor anyway and that is before the cat

how long is a piece of string will depends on how heavy is your right foot.

Heavy foot combined with town miles it's belieable

£15 is only about 11 litres so roughly 33mpg
