Headgasket?

  1. #1
Just been to a garrage to look at a Citroen Saxo Vtr that i might be buying, it was looking good until i took the oil cap off & found loads of creamy gunk, I spoke to the bloke & he said because the cars in the garrage are sat there for a long time, condensation builds up, is this true? Or is it headgasket? Thanks.

yess can be true and short journeys in the winter cause this
but just check for other signs of head gasket failure i.e white smoke when engine is warm losing water .over heating

+1 if its a garage selling it it may have built up condensation just moving it in abd out of workshop ect so it never got warm and damp mornings will cause the mayo. hgf can all sometime cause missfire.
