car shakes side to side

hi guys, maybe you could help me as im stuck with ideas what my problem could be.
for the past week or so, my car just doesnt feel the same when driving, practically im fighting with the steering wheel as the car shakes from side to side.....just like you was driving in very high winds. any ideas what my problem is?
also iv noticed if im doing 40mph when i turn on a right hand bend it handles like a go-kart but if i do a left hand bend the damn thing slides not sure if this is linked to the shaky car problem.

problem 2: iv got new front discs and pads fitted roughly 3000 miles ago, whilst im braking and i go over any bumps or potholes , my brakes stop working. theres no air locks in brake system either.
again, anyone know why its doing this?

    cheers guys

Problem 1: Rear beam, wishbone mount/balljoint or bush, top mount bearings on one side, tyre pressures.

Problem 2: Fresh fluid in the whole system, check compensator valve.

cheers m8, could drop links cause the shaking of the car, as the bushes have gone at the top of them?
compensator valve...is that the thing on top of the axle on passenger side?

    anyone else?

drop links will not cause the shaking, check you wheels are tight! rear beam for play front suspension for play check your wheel bearings are ok. And yes the load compensator is on the rear axle

thought if it was bearings, wouldnt they hum or something?

when wheel is jacked up, if you grab it at top and bottom...what does it mean?
and same for left and right?
i know 1 is wheel bearings but which one lol

try traction and test wheel balancing or look for bulges on the tyre. that made my wheel shake at certain speeds.
