Cage Mounting Harnesses.

    Right.

    I shall be getting a cage with a digaonal bar, and having a cross welded, and wanting harness bars. BUT, i'm not sure how you go about mounting harnesses to them?

    I have these Harnesses:



    My question is, How do i mount these on the harness bar like so -



    Any help will be nice!

    It looks like you have the wrong sort of harness for that mate, the harness in the first picture is designed to be bolted to the floor behind the seat...

    I see, How ever the pic of the harness was bolted to the floor. like so.

    No harness is designed to be bolted to the floor behind the seat as it's a too sharper angle..

    Did you buy them new as they're should be a book or DVD with them giving the angles they can be fitted etc, Most harnesses can be bolted or wrapped I know sparcos don't and looking at your omp it's pretty similar.

    Looks like he managed to take off the metal tab that bolts to the floor, and passed the end of the belt through the adjuster, creating a loop.

    with this in mind where CAN you put harnesses onto if you dont have a cage? dont want to be having a dangerous harness!!

    IIRC the maximum angle is 30degrees off the roof which isnt easy in any car as it needs to be in thick structal steel not thin tin like rear parcel shelfs/bulkheads..

    And thes the main reason why the rear seatbelt holes are so popular, ill be the first to admit i use to run cobra daytonas with harnesses into the rear belt holes on mine as i didnt know the dangers until somone said to me about it.

    Soon as i looked into it sold it all off and went back to oem three point road belts, once i sort my half cage though itll be Recaro spg's and 6points three inch scroths
