Random cutting out problem!

   Car never used to do this but has started recently.
   When driving and you go to plant it,only sometimes,it will just completely cut out, if you try bump start it while its still moving nothing happens it just gets on as if its ran out of petrol but if you turn the key off and back on it will start as normal. Anyone any idea what this could be? Not a clue myself
   Any help appreciated.
   
   Its a phase 1 vts if this helps

   i had the exact same with my previous saxo but if i bumped it it carried on. couldnt find the source with it but i noticed on a corner near my gfs house it did it nearly every time????? more often then not it was when the revs dropped? just more info to help a diagnostic.

   See i cant bump mine when it does this,sort of catches revs but died right away and doesnt really fire up...if this makes sense. Was told it could be a fuelling problem but surely it should then re fire on the bump. Unless turning the ignition off then back on re-primes the fuel pump getting the fuel back into the system ??

   when my vtr did this it was the icv sticking open, so it stalled the engine when i put the clutch in

   yeah my saxo 1.6 cuts out as well .. keeps stalling now and then . I dont no whats the problemmmm .. Yesturday it just died once i turn the engine on bang stalls again ..
   
   And today i turn it on seems like nothing even happen yesturday WTF IS GOING ONNNN
