Anyone got an aftermarket steering wheel?

If so... Are they better to drive with than the standard one?
Thinking omp Corsica or one with no dish. Has to be suede!

they will be smaller, lighter etc. So overall it will give you more feedback and it will be better!

it might look abit out of place if the rest of the interior is standard though

Yeah. Well I'd love a red carpet out of the gti rallye! And the White steelies, may do the clichè thing and get the 106 gti interior. Or I may get creative! Deff need a new steering wheel though. Something comphy for if and when I smack my face off it!

I've got an OMP Targa (330mm in suede) flat dish on a 60mm spacer. Puts a smaller wheel right where I want it. It feels a lot better than the slippery boat helm that comes as standard. The only trouble is that I can't reach the wiper/indicator stalks but I'm sorting that with some home made extentions.

Ahh! See I'm swaying towards the flat ones with a big spacer, is it worth the 100,s of pennies? Dunno wether to go new interior, lowered, new wheels, or new exhaust first!

I always thought they were a bit of a waste of money..before I had one that is.

True what Jay said.. I'm positive I can feel the road alot better, feels more 'connected'.
    Definitely worth the investment

What wheel do you have? Is there a certain boss to fit all omp wheels?

    Mine's an Omp corsica.
But I've got a Momo boss.

I believe it's one boss..For the 6 hole steering wheels anyway. But most saxo Boss's with the 6 bolt configuration should all be the same.

Do you prefer the deep dish to the flat ones? Haha sorry for the shit questions! I cab with spacers and stuff and have always liked the Corsica, may have to order one. Right now.

If you go for a flat one when unless you have monkey arms you will need a spacer to reach it properly. A 60mm dished wheel will sit in the same place as a flat wheel spaced 60mm though. The trouble with dished wheels is that they're generally 350mm which is only a bit smaller than standard (standard is 370).

Ahh right! I prefer the look of the flat ones but not the spacers. So can you not get smaller than 350? With the dished ones,

I never saw any when I was looking around. With he dish coming from the spokes I guess they would have to be at a silly angle if they 60mm dished a 300mm wheel.

I'm with you, I prefer the flat wheels to the dished ones, but I don't mind the spacers either. It makes it look a bit touring car'ish.

+1 to that mine is a lot nice to drive since fitting the steering feels more like the wheel is actually doing somthing if that makes sense and slightly heavier in a good sence
