266mm Discs//Pads

   Hey,
   
   Im converting my VTR to a 266m setup, I have a 23mm M/C off a Dispatch van for better brake pedal travel ive heard?
   
   Getting calipers off a 306 in next few days.
   
   Just wondering what Disc//Pad setup if best?

   No Budget:
   
   
   I will be on track a few times this year so will need to be able to stop me quick, and not have fade.

   Depends which caliper they are that are coming off the 306.

   To elaborate on what Kyza means, there are two different types of 266mm calipers. One set run 20mm thick discs and the the other run 22mm discs.
   
   Although this doesnt affect in anyway which type of discs you want to run, you have to make sure you order the right ones.
   
   In your instance, looking at doing the odd trackday, I'd look at something like the Maxtorq discs that KamRacing sell, or OE Mintex discs will do fine. Then get some decent pads, like Mintex 1144's, EBC Yellowstuff.

   Thanks for feedback, pretty sure there gonna be 20mm, Lucas calipers.
   
   I've checked kamracing site but only sell 283mm setups? Or am I being blind as on phone at moment.

   Go in either the 206 or 306 sections, the brakes are in there somewhere.
