Arb bolt thread size

    I'm missing an ARB bolt, what size thread is it?
    Heres a pic to show you the one I mean (obviously the empty missing one!)

    Cheers, luckily my dad knows a good place that does stainless bolts/fasteners/nuts so i'll go pick one up from there

    do not use stainless on suspension componets!
    You want mild steel.
    Minimum of 8.8 but 10.9 or 12.9 would be better

    10.9 tensile is the standard for this bolt, definitely wouldn't use any less

    did your car make a pinging sound with out the bolt in by any chance as mine has done the same only thing is mine has snapped

    Not a clue mate think its been missing before I had it!
    Any one know where I can get this part (preferably online!) I want the right strength and ease of purchase preferably

    i wouldnt
    the arb 'can' come out and catch in between wheel spokes lol
    if it were me id just remove the whole arb if i had to drive without it. although you dont want moisture getting in there

    Tried PM'ing the guy you said no reply unfortunately. Anyone else know of a place who stock them?

    Just had a look at the bolt after jacking the trailing arm up: its snapped off nearly flush and it looks like it has been like this for years, looks like its part of the arm itself. Whats the best thing to do here? New rear beam or drill out the bolt (which will be a nightmare considering the state its in).

    A cheaper option would be to drill it out slightly larger, re-tap it possibly M10 then use a new bolt??

    drilled mine out on my vtr. and tapped it m10, you will need a cobalt drill bit to drill the remains of the bolt out hss bits will not cut the mustard.
