New Vts, few problems help please

  1. #1
Hi guys. Iv had my vts about a week and the abs light keeps coming on and the engine dionostics one is on all the time. I have also found that the PAS is leaking and my alarm keeps being gay and coming on or unlocking and then locking straight away when i want it open.

Could any of these be related. It has been lowerd if that helps.

Possible problems costs to fix. Any help mutch apreciated.

the abs and engine management needs to be code read mate, has the car been lowered and is the standard

Is your car de-catted? if it is and 1 of the lambda sensors hasn`t got a sleeve on it then the eml will come on.

im not sure how mutch it has been lowered its at least 50m I recon. I new it would need pluging in to to the computer to find out about the abs and dionostics. would it be better to take it to my usual garage or to an auto electrition? Im just thinking of cost.

yes i think it has been de catted. is the cat in the sentre section? its a 52 vts. It was up on the ramps today to get the exhaust moved abit. Is the lamba sensor the wire that goes under the car to the exhaust because that was just flapping about.

yeah thats the lambda sensor engine management light will be that

belting mate ill get it up on the ramps tomorrow and tape it up. Is it just so the conectors are not showing/touching. Could I mabie remove it or something?

some people use these sort of lambda sleeves that screw onto the lambda http://www.gmcmotorsport.co.uk/gmc-o.../prod_457.html or i suppose it would do the same job if you just make something up urself to seal it and tape it up like u said

Have you found out where the power steering fluid is leaking from? As it's been lowered, the track rod could have rubbed a hole in one of the pipes if it wasn't moved out of the way at the time, or you may be lucky and find that a union has come loose and is leaking out of there. Have a look down the top left of your engine bay and you will see the pipes.

i did look today but i need a torch for a better look. The fluid is around the driver side driveshart anyway.

rite can I just clear up this lamda thing. the wire that I can see looks a bit like this below and is just taped up near my middle section on the exhaust with bear wires out of the other side. Where it suposed to connect to and from?

thanks guys the engine management light has gone off. I just cut the lamda thing clean off
and taped it up all good. There was loads of moisture init so I guess thats what was setting
    the light off.

Cars going in to the garage tomorrow to saut out the leak I think its APS. The ABS light has gone off for now but we will see.

    thanks for your help
