head gasket issues

    power seems to have dropped, and went to change the coolant and found mayonaise in the cap, its not as noticeable in the oil filler cap, and it hasnt started steaming out of the exhaust, and the engine still runs relatively 'smooth'
    i think the radiator fan has stopped working as i changed the coolant, and the fan never kicks in even after 3-4mins, the temperature gauge stays at the bottom though indicating its cool. its pis%ing it down outside now so i cant continue testing it.
    is there an easy way to check whether the fan works. it isnt seized. thanks folks

    is thermostat working if it stuck open would still let water through kepping the engine cool normally your temp gauge would read lower than normal if this was case

    get a compression tester on the cylinders. and to check the fan wire it straight to the battery
