halfords touch up pens =(

    right ive noticed ive got alot of stone chips on my bonnet and odd one here and there, and with my car being silver it stands out =( not somthing i want lol so was thinking of ways to repair thrse chips i dont knoe if anyone rates these but what about halfords touch up pens? as i rearly dony fancy resparying the bonnet or the quater pannel for that matter any ideas would be brill

    i usually think chips/scratches look better than dodgy repair jobs with touch up pens lol

    Dont use touch up pens as they wont give you a good finish, if its only light scratches try T cut it out 1st.

    Thier paint never matches !

    And yes as above you will notice the repair jobs more after it as i tried it and now it seems to stand out more lol

    How bad are they ?

    there pretty deep gone through the lacker and pain right down dont think tcut will pull this one off lol

    I have had sucess before using a toothpick to add paint into the chip. Then once dry and at the same height as the existing paint used some really fine wet n dry followed by some t-cut or similar cutting compound. I agree that re sprays can look worse if its a cheap job. Depends how bad it is really-might be worth a blow over.
