How much would it cost to get a ball joint replaced in a garage?

Or isit easy enough to do by myself with some mechnical experience..?

Also, what tools do I need to take the discs and pads off?

If your doing it yourself, it would be far easier to just replace the whole wishbone as without a proper press you will struggle to get the old ball joint out!

You will probably need the alignment done after your replace either the ball joint or wishbone.

Ahh ok al just replace the full wishbone.

How much work is involved in taking off the wishbone and replacing it?

the wishbone needs to be popped out of the bottom of the strut. i believe you have to pull up the carpet in the foot well and take out the two 17 bolts and that should take off the rear mount and slide the whole lot out of the frount mount/bushn. i think thats it, might be more bolts than that.

This is correct about the 2 bolts under the carpet you have to lift up a metal plate to expose the bolts. There are 4 bolts in total i believe. It states in the haynes manual and explains how to do it.

Easy enough if your slightly mechanically minded.
Took me about 20 minutes and I hadn't done one before
