vts broken :-(

   as title says, my vts started making grinding noises when accelerating. on my way home from work she decided to give up drive all together! had a friend look at her and he says that it is the gearbox/ diff thats shot it. hopefully getting a cheap vts to donor 2moro. any ideas or experiences wouldnt mind hearing from you cheers.

   i replaced a mates gearbox on his 106 gti last week, hes 2nd gear went completly, when you tried to get it in second you had to hold the gear stick in, under accelertion it used to just pop right out, not a big job to replace the gearbox a few hours and a spare set of hands always helps

   ah ok sweet, was thinking of putting a new clutch in whilst its off too. is that an easy job or take a little more know-how?
