#2If you want to tow from it, I think its an M12 bolt? If not, just put it through the whole and cable tie it to the chassis
-
#3Self tapping screw.
-
#5were do i get an m12 bolt from??
-
#6Any diy store will sell bolts.
Can buy a pack of them from B&Q for a few ££.
I got mine for about £0.80 from a local engineering store. -
#7If you want to fit it and be towed from it without pulling your bumper off then you're gunna have to widen the hole.
-
#8ok thanks for the info guys.
-
#9ive got mine on there it looks mint
-
#10mine should come tomorrow
-
#11Super Glue works finnee
-
#14so basically a lot of people who has the strap on here have rendered the entire design purpose of them useless, fake trackday cars ftl

Use a bolt as said
-
#15Not fake track day, Just I like the look?
I forgot that I had to fit my car into a bracket of styling. Fuck off. I like how they look. -

yes a diy shop will sell bolts but
they aint up the job of being strong enough to have a piece of webbing attached to them and dragging a car out a gravel trap!!
you want at least a 10.9 grade bolt, preferably a 12.9 grade bolt!!! -
#21may get one of these for my car soon! where did you get yours from? i see kamracing sell them for £15 but theyre only like £10 on ebay
-
#22They look shit
-
#24I was gonna say about the Tensile strength they need to be, to be up to the job.. My bad.
But yeah, I made sure mine was of decent strength, and had the right Pitch etc. -
#25Im so hardcore I got 2 on the front of mine. BOOM.
No seriously I have, one for towing and one for getting the car on the trailer via a winch. -
#26super glueing / cable tieing on a tow strap is fucking stupid.
talk about lazy do it properly or gtfo -
#28wow, you guys don't think the people who said glue/cable tie were joking? wow
-
#29I tried towing a mates car out of his garden using his tow strap and pulled it clean out of the hole it was screwed into, leaving the thread completely knackered. If you use one of these make sure it is screwed in with a good quality bolt, or else it may do you car more damage than good. We ended up dragging it out by attatching a tow rope to part of his chasis but then nearly ripped his front bumper off in doing so.
-
#30had mine on now for a couple of days, everyone round my way thinks it looks good...
-
#31yeah, but when you see one on a car at the traffic lights, you know his 'track' car must be mega y0
all well and good having a tow strap (as just one of many crappy mods these days), but when are any of the douches on here ever going to see a track?... -
#32for everyone asking where you get them from, did you try TRS? http://www.templerallysport.com/comp...s/cat_155.html
