exhuast mounting

    hi ite everyone just wondering what else i can do to stop one side of my exhuast coming off the mount and i have changed the rubber mounts but it still comes off and only on one left side. thanks

    cable tie the mount to tthe exhaust mate, i had to, the bakbox doesnt get hot enuf to melt it, cable tie the bak box to the mount then from the mount to the bodywork, wrkd a treat 4 me

    Bend the metal slightly at the end of the rubber mount? Will stop it sliding off?

    Thats what i would of done mate but cable tie will also work

    i cable tied around the rubber mounting so it 'pulls' it closer

    My mate done the same thing and it lasted a good 3 months until he got a new exhaust system, the only worry you have with cable tie is that it might get too hot and melt but if you are going to do it then put like 3 or 4 on there just to be sure

    on my exhaust mounts.. its got these little metal rings which you put on the mount so the rubber cant slide off.. no idea what they are called though im afraid! but they should work, if anyone knows what im on about?

    the rubber hanger doesnt get hot?
    mines lasted for about 3 years. its a hefty cable tie

    No the rubber hanger doesnt get hot the cable tie does.

    how would the cable tie get hot when its wrapped around the rubber hanger which isnt hot? lol

    its like ping pong haha im just saying that the exhaust does get quite hot so dont put one poxy little cable tie on there like put 3 or 4 for reasurance lol but i do see where im confusing you lmao
