What Runs Through The ECU?

Right, who knows if the speedo and rev counter runs through the ECU on '99 MK1 VTR's?

I'll have to get a wiring diagram and find out if no one knows.

I'm just making a list of parts I need when I get rid of my ECU lol.

I just need to know if the speedo and Rev counter go straight to the dials or do they go into the ECU first?

    Thanks knowledgeable friends

IIRC the speedo sensor is away from the ECU but i dont understand how you expect a car to run without the ECU? Would your computer run without a motherboard?

Yeh I was thinking they might, I dropped my haynes book in a bucket of oil so I need to buy a new one, it's not a problem I can find a way of making them work without an ECU I'm sure, or maybe run the ECU just to run the electrics.

Whether that'll work or not I'm yet to find out I guess lol.
