Important! : heat wrapping guide?

    is there a heat wrapping guide anywhere on here? i have some heat wrap but not sure how to do it, someone told me it needs to be soaked in water first???

    i think thats so when it dries it shirks and grips better but im unsure about guides have you searched

    you dont need a guide to do it mate its fairly straight forward just make sure everywhere you start is tight and secure it with a metal tie so you can carry on and not have the end unravel as you go. The reason you wet it first is so that you can wrap it tightly to the manifold rather than constently having to pull it tight and for it to just look like shit at the end. Little tip tho mate wear some gloves and keep your arms covered as the stuff is nasty

    Neither did i. Smells a little bit and kicks out some smoke as the wrap dries and starts the process off when you first start the engine and run it but then settles down.
