ECU problems

    right long story short

    the ecu on my car was my mates so he wanted it back

    i bought another one and my car runs like a dog on it

    bought another one yesterday got it today and the car doesnt start on it...

    why did the first one run like a dog? must be unlocked as it started my car and the guy said ity ran 3 standard vts's

    the second one i bought off huggy54 and he said his was a standard unlocked one and ive got no reason to not believe him as it ran on his car

    if i plug my old ecu back in it works a treat, only problem is that the old one isnt mine lol is there anything i can try to get them working?

    There were a few different maps over the years, some run rougher than others.. i wouldnt describe any of them dog rough though.

    Are all the pins in the ecu ok? no corrosion

    when i messaged you the other day i was talkingabout the first one i bought, that is very rough ill try and get some videos to help explain the second one doesnt even start it cranks over but doesnt start it

    right break through me and my bro just tested the sparks, it sparks with the old ecu but doesnt with the new one so that means it locked?

    Since its runs ok on other ecus its almost certainly locked aye

    im just uploading a video of the other ecu... this one starts but the enigne sounds werid, pops and bangs a lot, stinks of fuel and stalls as soon as my foot is off the throttle

    so if theres no spark on the new ecu that means it must be locked? as im going to ask for a refund now

    heres the video, the sound isnt great it sounds alright in the video but if u listen closely you can hear a weird noise and as soon as im off the throttle it stalls
