1.4 gearbox on 16v engine

   Im currently using a vtr box but that has now got a bad whine in reverse and leaks oil etc and iv been offered a standard 1.4 box, is it recommended or should i stick with a vtr box? opinions please.

   Well id like to fit it and be done with for a while. Will there be much difference low down gears? the vtr box was sluggish off the mark, also would the top end be different?

   The diff is different between sports and non-sports boxes so be careful with driveshafts

   What could be different on the driveshafts? Im guessing vtr and vts boxes are sport boxes?

   Gumbo has a 1.4 gearbox on his VTR - No issues there. Acceleration is raaaapid.
