When slowing down and knocking the car out of gear.

   When im slowing down, i knock the car out of gear and the car wouild bounce the rev's between 1k - 2k rpm. When i come to a dead stop, it idles normal.
   
   I've changed the coolant temp sensor.
   Reason for changing the coolant temp sensor was because it was rev'ing it's balls off at 3k - 4k when you start it up.

   Your best leaving it in gear until just befoe you stop rather than into neutral then back into gear again if the traffic moves before you get there. Anyway I went off track a bit there if it is only doing it when slowing down could be an issue with fuel starvation due to the petrol sloshing forwards in the tank as you brake.
   Try driving along normaly then press clutch down and let off the throttle at the same time. If it still does the weird idle thing then it's not the tank and more likely an issue with the idle control system.
   Not sure what engine you have but issues have been covered many times on the forum and a search should bring something up for you.
