Saxo vtr monster truck

If anybody has seen my car, they will know that the only thing taller than it is probably the empire state building...

Please note... My grill is now gloss black with black chevrons, looks the bolox!

But my question is, I have 35mm lowerings springs, but have been waiting months for someone to fit them and do the torsion bars at the rear, but impatience is happening, would you attempt this yourself or not?

If your unsure how to do the back mate i'd get someone else to do it, i've not lowered a saxo before but have done another car with struts and that part isn't too hard, just take your time if you haven't done it before. The car I did had macpherson strut type suspension all round and I did the car in about 4 hours the first time using a guide, after that it doesn't take as logn as your used to it.

Oh, and sell me your front bumper and bonnet please

Attempt the fronts yourself at least. Changing springs is a piece of piss. I've never done torsion bars so can't comment on those.

iv never done tortion bars but the principle is quite easy, its best to do both sides at the same time, theres a few guides on here mate, suzuki tuning i think and badger sport, or something like that

i tryed doin my own torsion bars and it isnt hard if you sollow a guide but then again i failed because i couldnt get my torsion bar out (stuck solid) so i would take it too a garage or better still there loads of people on here that will do you springs and torsion bar for about £100 which isnt too bad

attempt the front yourself. no harm in attempting the back but you might not get far, ive attempted doing the back of mine twice now (and failed both times)

how much wd did you use i tryed mine this way and no matter wat size washer i used it just bent into the hole

yeah for the price people do the rear these days (£60) its well worth not pulling your hair out over it. pulling it with the socket and bolt way can strip the threads if life hates you

slide hammers are a fail in the world of torsion bars, thats why i don't even bother getting mine out of the tool cabinet whenever we lower saxos or 106s. 14lb sledge hammer, old torsion bar, axle stand and some brute force is whats needed.

dont want to sound like a dick but most people when trying to lower their own car dont have an old torsion bar

any old heavy metal bar will do, scrapyards are full of old shafts etc
