turbo play? Back & fourth

    Turbo play
    from exhaust blade to inlet housing blade
    if i push one sideand push other it goes back and fourth
    only about 2/3mm but you can feel the push.

    but the blades have no play in or damage. and doesnt go up and down.
    this ok?

    i bought the turbo
    and he said no play!
    recieved today
    and i knew play as in the kinda of play at blade. but thats fine.

    it just moves slightly from side to side when ppushing each side.

    so the hole turbine moves.

    Oh I see thats not a problem if it moves side to side, providing it isnt extorionate movement of course.

    If it was /---|---\---|---/ then you would need a rebuild!

    No its just the actually hole arm together moving

    no play like a bearinng though.
    just straight back and fourth?

    I'd never run a Turbo with any play in it

    Like I say if it isnt excessive then it wont be a problem in that case. If it was then it would probably be catching on the housing surley!

    It wont hurt to just take the turbo into a garage and get their judgment on it, anwhere that work with turbo'd cars alot would have a good idea.

    as said above. take it to a specialist for an expert opinion.

    all turbos will have SOME lateral play dependant on the turbo. but this should be a precise tolerance.

    get it checked out. cheaper now than later!

    normally in a turbo its the bearings that go first, take it to a spesialist tho
