Worrying rattle :/

   Hi, whenever i put my foot down in my Furio and im going past some parked cars or a wall or whatever then i can hear a sound reflecting back and it's almost like a small metallic rattle or grinding, and it gets more noticeable when i accelerate harder...any ideas? it's kinda worrying me

   Not that i know of, but when im not moving i've noticed when i take my foot off the clutch in neutral that i get a grind/rattle as well? when my foots on the clutch it stops

   It's your Thrust bearing, you'll need to replace it soonish or it'll go and melt the sleeve also, and if it's like mine, your clutch will melt also lol.

   Fuck that lol, how much is it to get a garage to replace?
   I only just got a new Valeo clutch about a month ago so dont fancy having it melted

   Did you put a new bearing on? Did you grease the bearing?

   Aww man, if it wasn't greased it has no chance, it's like trying to shag a girl with no lube/wetness the friction will kill that bearing in no time.

    Gearbox off, clucth off and you can get the bearing off.
    
    I hope it's not that for your sake, but if the noise goes when you push the clutch and comes back when you let it off, it sounds like it to me

    So if i took it to a garage to be done im guessing it'd be about 2 hours labour plus the bearing cost?

    have you had your gearbox looked at, mine was making this souns just last week, took it apart to get to the thrust bearing and that was fine, but the bearings in the gearbox had gone and this makes a smiliar noise. 1x clutch and 1x gearbox later and mines fine

    Simple test, get under your car with it running, listen to it, my box rattles like mad, you can hear the difference.
    
    Thing is, you won't know until you take the thing apart lol.

    Well my box and clutch were changed at the same time, my furio box had been eating at itself and had bits of gear floating in the gear oil (the little that was left) so had ta changed to a vtr box and a valeo clutch at the same time.

    Mine didn't rattle at all when mine went. Just made a horrible whining noise..
