steering shakes then stops then shakes then stops again :S

   my wheels where recently refurbed and balanced
   dont know wht its doing it?

   is it at certain speeds or just random

   Engine mount? - Educated guess.
   Ball joints? - Mine does this as the ball joints are worn.

   ohrite hmmm
   does it at random but i have to be going above 40mph to actuly start to feel it and does it for like 30seconds then it will go smooth for 30seconds then back to shaking for 30sec lol

   Well on mine, if you go straight over 40+ mph it shakes. If you start to turn slightly it disappears.
   
   My car just failed MOT because both of the ball joints have excessive play which is a common problem.
