Important! : vts stall / re-start issue

   hi every1 my vts is cutting out all the time iv changed the crank and lambda sensor took all the throttle body to bits cleand it and the sensors going into it,is ther anything else i can do,had it in shitreon and they could nt find a fault,im getting rate pissed of with it now but cant sell it like it is,any help cheers,oh and when it cuts out it wont start for a good few hours even if a disconect the bat..

   Coil pack? MAP sensor?

   wont start for hours?? possibly fuel pump matey, when it wont start and you turn the ignition on can you hear the pump prime (it will make a whiring noise for a second ) have you checked the fuel supply to the rail?

   where is the map sensor?also on the right side of the engine wer the water feed isthere is a cable missing with a brown plug on ti wot is this?

   Is it a single wire? if so its probably for the oil pressure sensor.

   Under the rear bench, there are 2 black plastic covers, the one in the middle of the car is the fuel pump. But you should hear it prime everytime you turn the ignition key to postion 2.

   Im pretty sure its an in tank fuel pump

   from personal experience with my old vts this is exactly what i had on my car, it was a blocked fuel filter. I would change it as even if it doest cure the problem it will of eliminated something and it doesnt cost much anyway

    The MAP sensor is the rear leaf corner (as you look at the engine) of the plenum chamber (the box with 16V on it)
