New to fourm + need help on doing up my first car :D

    Hey everybody! new to the board

    was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to help my cars style?!
    its a 1.4 furio, vtr bodykit thou, the front bumper is in a bad way - i've found one in good nic on ebay which i'll replace, as well as the wheel arch of the front passengerside which is also missing/broke.

    other then that, the car's good, needs a good clean and wax however as the last owner didnt take great car in appearence, nabbed the car for 300 and it's just been MOT'd and had the breaks and clutch replaced costing 400, so im quite happy with that

    my idea's so far are to find some black alloys, and have a black/silver effect on the car, as the car itself is silver with black trim and that
    - Black alloys
    - tinting rear windows
    - tint/spraying the rear lights
    - HID's for the front lights
    - Possibly a sunstrip in black with silver lining for the front windscreen?

    was also thinking about other things that i could do to the inside?
    the seats could do with replacing tbh they've seen better days - however their still more then usable and fine, just dont look the best.

    any other input would be great, no pictures just yet as the cars not completly mine just yet, we're in the progess of it
    should be a nice little first car!

    i wouldnt bother with the sun strip, look silly & chavvy!

    then 16v it and get rear discs powaaaaaah

    ha thats alright, buy 16v i mean do a VTS conversion.

    it would be the best engine mod you could do as you get a fair amount more power for not much money.

    and changing to rear discs just means changing the rear axel and taking the drums off to an axel with discs

    i doubt a engine mod would be good for me personaly atm, im 17 and this is my first car, insurance is already sky high for me! im just looking to do some asthetic modifications, also just seen a thread on changing the door cards which i think i might do to help the interier look better

    You say interior is tatty....look into getting a tidy 106 GTi half leather interior

    WHeels. Black vts alloys, black cyclones from a 306, TD 1.2's. There are a few to look at

    the best mod you could possibly do it lowering tbh as they're so high standard.

    has it got the multicoloured seats, yellowgearknob and doorpins? id change them for vts or 106gti interior sharpish too.

    then theres other mods, like exhaust, get rid of the rear wiper, smoke the front and rear lights.

    keep away from tacky things like sunstrips please

    yeah its got diffrent coloured seatbelts and all that tacky interier and door cards, which i think i'll change, and already planning on smoking the rear's and getting mk2 angel eyes for the front

    got some vts wheels for sale in brilliant white powder coated all with good tyres on 195/45/15 budgets look great on saxos. had them on mine but its time for a change

    Pictures of the car today, been washed and hooverd inside, still needs more love and car, but as for parts ect;

    drivers side, everything fine other then missing hubs:


    this is the problem side, passenger, however bumper ect is fine:


    heres the worst of it, passenger front - door hinge has folded backwards so needs replacing/fixing, wheel trim needs re-adding, however im not sure quite how, same goes for the passenger side skirt. also missing the hubcaps (want to get some VTS or VTR alloys once moneys avaliable to push for them)


    Inside carpets, ideas on how to clean? stained with mud:


    front bumper, currently bidding on ebay for a new one as this ones split at the bottom, scratched to a inch of its life and doesnt clip on either

    and lastly, a photo to just show the door hinge is nacked, it opens further then the avrage point of turn, and slowly shuts itself when left alone, the doors dented so think it'd be best to just get a whole new door fitted.

    these are obvisoly my priortys to fix first off, and then start modding so suggestions ect on how to do so, and what mods to do would be great

    Well as your changing the bumper maybe gloss black bumpstrips all around? Widemouth the bumper? Different splitter? Different towing eye? Options are endless!

    going scrap yard saturday, hopfully i'll find a replacement bumper
    also gettint eh skirt adn wheel arch on friday, so i'll fit them on saturday - do i need to buy new clips? or can i use tiger seal or somthing?

    you should get a few stickers (funny ones) and stick them on
    and make sure u get a saxperience sticker ...to stay on these guys good side lol

    take the carpet out and clean it with a brush and warm water etc, honestly once its clean and smells nice, the car almost feels new again!!

    thanks for the replys, i might try and take the whole carpet out if i can figure out how to clean it, apparently duct tape is good for ripping off some of the mess?

    i know nothing about springs/coils at the moment, once i've researched and know what to buy, i just might haha - you local to my area then?
