can someone explain?

    Hi guys,

    Sorry about my lack of knowledge but can someone explain what this pulley is leading from the alternator?

    crankshaft pulley

    Its your crankshaft pulley as the engine rotates it spins your alternator creating the charge you need.(if its the big pulley you mean)

    Yeah its the big one i mean. just done some research and found out it is the crankshaft pully... also found out that this is a common problem with the vts's

    I relised myn has been wobberling today on my way to work, drove it back and now im having difficulty starting

    is there anyway in replacing it and not having to worry about this problem again i.e use an aftermarket part from gmc etc?

    Yes you can replace it using the gmc 1 the rubber insert wears on the standard 1.

    ordered a new one today so that should be to me tomorrow. the car is not starting at all. should i be worried!?

    Well yeh... the car should start without the crank pulley been on.. obviously it wouldnt charge...

    Battery will have gone flat as alternator won't have been charging the battery properly.

    Get the new crank pulley fitted and jump start the car.
