Hello,
I've got the car mentioned above. I've just serviced the car was running fine before the service, but after about 300 miles the car has a lumpy ride like it's misfiring. I'm suspecting the coil pack. It doesnt matter if the car is cold or warm however does seem to be worse when cruising rather than when decelerating or full throttle. I've also noticed its not so bad above 3k ish revs :s
I did however notice when servicing the car and checking over a few things under bonnet, that there is a 3 way connector on the plastic inlet manifold as you look at it, which goes from the inlet to the oil breather on the top of the cam cover, that it has broken the pipe on the inlet. And is just pushed over the whole. When I was driving it once it popped off and the car idled irratically and i jsut pushed it back over the hole and it was fine. I know its not this as i have used instant gasket to seal it properly, and no i didnt drive it before it set LOL
So as mentioned has anyone got a 1.4 8v i can borrow the coil pack out of just to test before i spend £56 on a new part that might not even be the problem. I'm from teesside and can meet you. I will double check tonite but i'm pretty sure mine has the white connector to it.
Cheers,
Neil
