HID Lights?

  1. #1
I bought a HID kit and i fitted it today but when it came to clipping the blubs into the headlight housing..the metal clips that support the bulb won't fit around the new bulb housing? i just put the rubber grommit back ontop of it and it seems to be holding enough?

Also when i put full beam lights on the drivers side dims and the passenger side gets brighter? any ideas?

Most people on here will piss and moan that you are using xenons and think that youd be better with some crappy halogens ...

Any way.. the clips will either bend over the bulb or you might need to sand abit of plastic away.

As for getting brighter on full beam, make sure the cover thing that moves (i assume you have a 'Bi-Xenon' H4 kit) is on the proper side of the bulb, if it is make sure that the wiring is ok.

Also, make sure you get them levelled properly or they will a) look shit and b) not shine where they should.

I hope your using projector lens as well (angels or morettes)

Mine wouldn't bend over the bulb or the housing at all so i've left them down and have the rubber grommet on it which seems to be holding ok for now...
Where would be able to level them? any garage?

By 'the cover thing' im guessing you mean the metal cover part? i have that underneath the bulb, where should it be?

Im not sure because mine has angels so have separate bulbs for high and low beam.

Make sure the drivers side is wired and fitted exactly the same as the passenger side if that one works ok.

Turn the end and the bulb part will twist out, use metal clip to fasten that part down, then screw the other part back in.
