That's a 3point road-sport harness on a standard (passenger) VTR seat. Doesn't look too bad. Obviously VTS seats are slightly different but you get the basic idea.

It's shit and really uncomfortable. Ran mine for a few days like this untill my subframes arrived, I looked like a dick.

If you crash, you pull the load forward, it rips down the seat, compresses your spine and you go forwards.

Not only does it look daft, it's not exactly safe...

you can get some nice buckets on ebay cheap enough

    safety harnesses on standard seats
lol, the word safety is out already. I can't even imagine how you get through an MOT with that. Besides go and try some in under any heavy braking circumstances, and feel your balls being squeezed beyond the pain threshold. Fancy much ?

as above, oem seats are designed to fold flat in a crash making the harnesses come loose..

So you're screwed in a standard B pillar mounted belt too then?

They're bolted to the rear of the car, not the back of the seat.

No, but they go over the top of the seat. In an accident, your weight is thrown forward, the harness rips straight down the middle of the seat, as your weight pulls it from being arched over it, to straight...

No the three point attached to the b pilar is designed to grip tight to the reclining seat in an accident hence the little explosives under the seats..

I thaught this was comman sence next you'll be saying you bolt harnesses into the rear belt holes

ive fitted them, they look fine and feel fine so guna keep em in there mill get some piks on here see wt you think.
  14. #14
    SMH....

Why make a thread asking if its going to look silly or not with a response of everyone saying itll look silly if you are going to go against it lol
  15. #15
because i tried it out and looks and feels fine i like a second opinion nothing wrong with that.
  16. #16
Have fun jumping threw the windscreen where your seats folded flat and the harness has come loose if you roll
  17. #17
    ^That.

I'm off to remove my windscreen cos it looks better cos i've removed more weight. Just because it looks and feels fine doesn't mean it is.
