temp. light stays on, fan comes on constant -.- had a fuck full!

    ok so my temperature light comes on as soon as i turn the key, and then after a few seconds the fan will come on and stay on for about 5 minutes after the key is turned off.

    Ive bled the system,
    Fitted New Thermostat,
    And Fitted New Temperature Sensor

    And The Problem Is Still There -.-

    Any Help?....

    Had the exact same problem, need to get ECU reset with a diagnostics machine.

    Sure the head gasket hasn't gone? As that's a symptom, fan on constant and temperature warming up and then rising up until the light comes on?

    Check the oil cap for 'mayo' substance Also check the cooling system and try to smell if you have petrol fumes in the header tank

    Bought a ODB2 code reader off ebay and cleared it with that, was only £17, i'm sure someone said it's like £30-40 to get a garage to do it though?

    The only time I had this done I paid £20. It's only plugging your car into a laptop

    Maybe also a simple as the temp sendor telling the ecu (wrongly) that your temp is too high therefore ecu switches the fan on.
