Driver seat problem!

   Me and my gf both drive our car so the seat is constantly going back and forward cos she's got little legs.
   
   Got in it last night and it seems to got stuck in the forward position.
   
   Still flips forward to get in the back, but doesn't seem to 'lock' when the seat flips back again and the handle under the seat does nothing.
   
   I had to lean the seat back and drive with my knees virtually on the dash! lol
   
   Any ideas? New seat? New runners? Or just a simple catch thats gone?

   Take the seat up and oil the runners. They may have just jammed.

   I told her it was her fault! lol
   
   It slides forward perfectly fine but seems to jam against something when I push it back?
   
   That's why I thought it might have been a catch somewhere thats gone. If I took the seat out, I wouldn't know what to be looking for!
   
   Might have to take the passenger one out as well so I can compare!

   If you took the seat off you could probably see the problem straight away. Maybe a coin has dropped and jammed it or something?

   There is a locking mechanism (gold sort of colour). Check how it looks on passenger seat and compare to drivers side. I have had this problem before and was an easy fix thankfully.

   Stevo - yeah I could kinda see what I think you are talking about when looking last night. Hopefully if I take the seat off, I'll get a better look at it.
   
   Like Tisandy said though, it might just be that something has fallen down there and got jammed
