Idles Shit and cuts out

   my saxo has been idling low (5/6) and occasionally revs itself... but when i come up to a junction and put my foot on the clutch it cuts out and sometimes wont start again first time starting it up after its sat for a hour or so can be missions to... it just splutters and cuts out anyone have any clue what could be up?

   Lots of threads on this have a search and you shoul dfind what you need. Also you mention hard to start - could indicate a fault with tdc sensor. Might even respond to cleaning the tdc sensor. This is a qucker job than cleaning the icv so maybe you should try that first.

   when you first start it, is it idling rough? (like first start of the day)
   
   i used to turn my car off and start it again and it would be fine.
   
   also if you "blip" the accelerator does it stall?

   depends... if the cars still warm then yes it idles rough.. but on a cold start it has no troubles.
   yeah if i blip the accelerator it will either splutter but sort itself out or it will stall..

   bump this thread up mine is doign this just drove down the road and started to splutter then cut out..so tryed ro start it and just rev for like 2 sec and just cuts out?
   
   Thinking it might be the fuel pump, beacuse wheni turn the key 2 times the sound that comes on is diffrent from normal and somtimes you cant hear it??

   The OP's fault will be the ecu temp stat ( the green one on the side of the engine but sounds like you have a fuel prob or an air pipe has come off

   what do you mean by op's fault? and any idea about the fuel problem??? fuel pump many?
