VTS engine mount bracket

  1. #1
Quick query: the (alloy?) bracket which holds the engine to the chassis at the ECU end - are the VTR and VTS brackets the same?

Switching to a Group N mount which needs a bigger hole drilled in the bracket, so trying to pick up a spare incase I ever need to swap back to the original engine mount.

    Cheers

no, the S bracket is held to the engine with 4 bolts, R only has 3

Ah, gotcha. Are the VTS engine mount brackets all the same - i.e. MK1 the same as MK2?

I am mate. You need to run a 12mm drill through the engine mounting bracket though - the vibra mount has a thicker bolt than the standard mount (which are prone to snapping).

Ahhhh now i understand......you going for road or competition mounts???

Also i presume vts mounts are the saxo as 106gti yeah??

Going for the fast road ECU engine mount mate.

I've already got a Powerflex lower gearbox mount and a Pug Racing upper gearbox mount, so adding the vibra mount will essentially give me Group N mounts all round.

It looks like VTS engine mount brackets are the same regardless of year. GTI ones will be the same if the car is a phase 2.

Can I just ask where you are purchasing your engine mounts from? I've got a powerflex lower gearbox mount but can't find the top 2 anywhere?
