Spraying wheels, has anyone done it?

   I have just finished spraying my vts wheels, and i dont know if i should laquer (sp) them or not.
   Has anyone sprayed there own wheels before, and if so have you laquered (sp) them?

   i havent done it but i kno you have to laquer them!! a lot of coats if im not mistaken ? any1 else help ?

   Ive just had mine done Carl, and they laquered them about 4 times. Just be careful because they chip well easy!

   My 17's where done at prestine and the laquer on them is so thick. I have gave one wheel 2 coats of laquer, and just put them to dry in the sun.

   my mate sprayed my wheels black last week, he put 2 coats of laquer on them and they look good, nice and shiney

   What do u lot normally use to sand them down? How many layers of primer, paint n clear coat do u need to have to get a good finish?

   Craig on this site does spraying of wheels and yes - you need to lacquer them. If you don't, bits of paint will just chip off.
   
   I would say give it 3 or 4 coats to be sure.
