Is there such thing as in idle screw?

I have a threaded hole on the right side of the inlet without a screw in it, and i have just cleaned my idle control and its made it better and more responsive, And when i just lightly touch the pedal it idles lovely so i just need it to be a little tighter on the throttle by a fraction, whats the best way of setting this and is there a screw or can i just adjust the throttle cable marginally? Cheers.

    Right here's the deal ..

Anyone care to put some names to the following :

    What is this hole?

I guessed this is the idle screw in the inlet thats missing?

Top is idle control but what is the bottom one? Would it benefit from removal and a clean?

    Top cable is ICV
One under that is throttle potentiometer,
One under the TB is air intake sensor.

Personally i just removed my whole tb to clean with carb cleaner and it made the car run much better......wish id done it ages ago tbh.

Sorry to interrupt your thread mate but I just read this, I noticed one day on mine if i just ever so slightly tap the accelerator it idles up and down for a few seconds, then finds itself, apart form that it idles perfectly though, do you know the cause of that?

ICV may be settling down after a little blip

So is that normal then? It was after putting new plugs in so may have been bedding in or something?

Well when i turn the key to start the car it starts first time and without the accelerator pressed the car slightly idles up and down not as bad as before now that i've cleaned the icv, But when i just touch the throttle its lovely and i want to know the most suitable way to keep it at that revs, it's about 1k revs is that about the right idle speed for a 16v engine?
