   Alright lads this is my car.. Ive owned it 6 months now and was going to get a bike in the summer and sell this but decided to keep it instead and do a few things over the summer.. Im mainly interested in styling/exterior and engine bay cleaning/colour coding etc but dont really know where to start. I have limited funds so im not talking about full resprays or anything like but any ideas on what to do to clean it up a bit..any help would be appreciated..
   
   so far Ive:
   Lowered from and rear on Spax
   Show Cage
   Induction
   Sprayed Centre Console
   DVD Player
   Red Calipers

   smoke rear lights, wide mouth, spray alloys gun metal grey or black, change ariel, GTI seats
   
   are what i would do extra if that was my car

   cheers mate gti seats r very expensive over here though but wide mouth has been in the pipeline for a while have u done it before? how hard is it to get right ive only a bit of spraying exp and no fiberglass experience at all.. cant fo the rear lights ATM as my NCT(MOT) is up soon so it wont go through with them but might think about after

   which is the little lip that is flush with the top vtr/s? or is a gti?

   do a proper job at it. sand them down, prime-panit-laquar.
   
   gloss black on red would look the part im my opinion, would compliment the already clean lookin car ya have there mate

   simple one find a petrol cap that matches the colour of the car think that would make a difference

    Next Problem
    
    whoever had it before me done the front lip and bump strip gloss black but there starting to chip now..it also has a 3/4 inch crack beside the right fog recess that u cant really see in the pics so ive decided the first thing im doing is give the bumper a full refurb.. only problem is i dont really know where to start..
    
    Im guessing filling the crack with bumper filler and sanding it out is first but after that i dont know what do do will i do the gloss black strips then spray the rest red or red first then black etc etc???? im considering doing the widemouth now while i take the bumper off too so will i spray the whole bumper red then wait to dry and paint the wide mouth then laquer the whole bumper or what?? and if i do it with aerosol cans will it colour match or is the red paint available anywhere as i can get a compressor an gun etc but how much is it to buy enough to do the front bumper does anyone know?
    
    Im really at a lost ind here so any help is appreciated cheers

    what about bonnet raisers are they an easy job? and what do you all think they look like? and how high shoul i raise it if i do do it?

    I would lose the mud flaps, paint the wheels black and gloss black the bumpers and bump strips.
    
    Then move on to the engine room

    yea angels are a maybe but smoked rears cant happen yet it has to be nct'd(mot) in a few weeks so wont pass but maybe after that..
    
    Is there a way to get all red lights instead of smoked?

    i have bonnet raisers on mine. depent how high you want it. i went for 10mm. will put a pic up for you then you can see frm there. alot of ppl hate them.

    Spray the wheels gloss black, tinted rear lights, spray the inside of the front lights black, dont know about bonnet raisers really, i have seen a car that had raisers and then l.e.d lights where it was raised looked good at night.

    just de-wipered my car seens as a few people said to do it.. happy with the results.. cost €2.69 and took ten mins with help from the guide on here so cheers to who wrote it i cant remember the name
    
    heres a few pics let me know what you think and any more ideas im gonna start a progress thread from now so please follow it and let me know what you think or gove me ideas or is u've a few bits for sale on d cheap let me know and we'll sort something out..

    venetian red is probably one of the best colours for a saxo in my opinion
    
    ps. bonnet raisers look like youve left your bonnet open

    yea i think your right about the bonnet raisers.. i thought about the cage painting but the only thing about it is if i get bored of the cage and want to sell it on for whatever reason it would sell easier if it wasnt white.. and i have a child who sits in the back and likes to bang things off it so prob end up chipping it sooner or later.. but white wheels are defo on the list or i was thinkin maybe black and white still not sure.. i was thinkin black with red bolts and the little line in the mibble ofeach spoke pinstriped red?? thoughts?? and i agree with the colour it took me a while to find one this colour but i had it in my head that i wanted it so held out till i found one
