i know it might seem simple but i recently changed my gearbox and now i have the bug for diy on my car rather than pay a garage to do it, is this easy?? and what tools will i need? thanks
how to change an alternator belt?

#2You slacken off the 10mm adjuster bolt move the alternator forwards & take the belt off.Putting the new belt on is reverse of what i`ve just said just don`t overtension the belt or you`ll strain the alternator bearings.

#4it does become a bug mate lol...I'm currently doing NVQ level 3 for HGV's at college...and 2 years ago I never knew how to change an alternator.. lol

#5yeh im just fed up with paying hundreds of pounds to fix something, like the gearbox and clutch, i did it myself and paid all in all 80quid, for the box,oil, few extra tools.

#6how tight should i do the belt? i understand if it moves a centimetre when pushed down thats perfect. no more no less, is this right??? thanks
