Right. . so she kept running into the red after only 15 mins of driving. So i bled the system and topped her up. She needed 3 litres of mix. . so i can imagine there was a hell of alot of air in the system. . and just hope that i aint warped the head. Now the temp gauge wont get above the cold marker. . even if i have driven her solidly for an hour or so. . .
The theromastats fine as i tested it out of the car. . so is it going to be a problem that she doesnt get up to operating temperature?
    Any help guys. . cheers

Temp sensor. Probably wasnt actually overheating and wasnt running cool if the thermostat is fine.

have you checked to see if its the temp sensor thats under the thermostat?
mine went barmy when this had come loose, i pushed it back in and have no problems.

    Hahaa.

Well, check your sensors, but if it doesn't get hot and the actual engine isn't getting stupidly hot... I don't see a problem.

Mine sometimes does that, if you let it idle for an hour or so it'll get to half way and the fan will come on. Under normal driving it rarely goes to half.

If nothing is visibly strange, I'd be happy
