Removing dampers from hubs...?

    What's the best way to remove the damper (shock absorber) from the hub? I need to take my standard dampers out to build my coilovers onto the hubs.

    Is it best just to pull out the hammer? lol

    Im guessing you mean the spring pan from the strut housing? If so you can smash them off with a hammer or cut / grind them off its up to you.

    Yeah, just want to take the strut completely out of the hub, were it sits in. I might just put the damper in a vice and hammer the hub down if anything.
