Rear shock test?

  1. #1
Could anyone tell me how to check the condition of the shocks please? They're rear if that makes a difference?

I have been told before by someone but a) I've forgotten and b) I dunno if its different with it having a torsion bar setup?

    Cheers

If you push down on the back they should return to where they were pretty much instantly.

-If you push down and let go, and the cars bouncing/see-sawing then they're dud.
-If you push down and let go, and they don't return..they're dud.

You can take them off, put one end onto the floor or whatever and push down as hard as you can.. It should return to where it was.
    That may help?

a damper dyno will give you a read out of exactly what the dampers are doing and how they compare to each other.
