Think my clutch has just snapped !
Anyone know how much it'll cost for labour roughly as i have a old clutch somewhere.
Anyone on here do them as i don't want to go to a garage because they'll rob me blind and i'm on a budget, well .. aren't we all lol

New clutch is 100% required, especially if a vts is driven hard, £150 by a friend for fitting, Probably £500 for a garage, browse ebay for an LUK or Valeo they pop up new for under £50.

brand new valeo/sachs clutch just over £100 from any motor factors, book time to replace is about 4 hours so no reputable garage should be charging mnore then say £240 labour and maybe £30 for teh gearbox oil so look to pay around £350 ish plus vat could push it over the £400 mark :-(

Valeo's are very good mate, £195 supplied and fitted is a very good price, you'll struggle to find a price that good.

    Fair enough lol
Mandyslover70 is that with a new valeo or a second hand one?
  11. #11
I'm guessing that that would be new. It isn't economic to fit a second hand clutch as you would be replacing it soon again. Thats just false economy.
