Mk2 vtr manifold heat shield

   I was doing some work to my vtr its the type with the cat at the manifold anyway i had the heat shield off the top of the manifold wher ther top lambda sensor is but when removing it one of the bolts snapped off that retain the heat shield so I have left the shield off for now, anyway to cut a long story short will it do any harm not having it on and would I be able to drill out the snapped bolt? whats the best way of doing it cheers

   Wouldn't bother with it mate 9 times out of 10 they rattle anyways and won't do any harm without one.

   saxo engine bays dont get too hot. leave it off.
   
   If your too bothered then refit with just 3 bolts. mine is and it doesnt rattle

   Ah ok cheers, think ill leave it off then was just a bit worried about some of the plastic bits melting lol
