Hi guys.. now i knew my clutch was on its way out when i could hear this whirring noise everytime i engaged the clutch. .and i thought i had a bit of time before she gave up completely. . but after driving down to surrey from shropshire. . whilst in 5th gear if i take my foot of the gas she pops out of 5th. . and i have to drop the clutch..put her back into 5th...and then have to hold it there with the strength of my "now looking bigger than my right" hand. . .
Is this just the release bearing giving up. . or something more serious?
And just another quickie. . . is 100mph in 5th gear at 5000 revs stock figures for a 98 vts?
