Slight knocking noise

Not everytime, but when im turning left (say 45 degree's) and accelerating at the same time, it makes an intermittent knocking noise, not very loud or heavy, but i can hear it, and i dont like hearing things, lol.

I havent a clue when it comes to noise's, but guesses are Ball Joint or CV Joint?

what do i need to check for before taking to a garage to check for me?

    Thanks

Hoping its CV joint or Ball joint, doesnt happen every time i turn, only the odd occasion, which isnt worrying me too much.

Off Topic, does anyone know how easy it is to tighten the handbrake cable, and where its tightened from?

    Thanks

Under the car, remove exhaust heat shield, tighten the nut on the cable
