Each time i change gear the revs stay high and do not drop for at least 2 or 3 seconds, does anyone know what this issue is? as i also had it on my last vtr!, do they all do this im wondering?. I like the revs to fall away sharpish when changing up, then cut back in as per normal! please help with this as its very annoying. Many thanks

#2is this all the time or when just starting. mine does it when i first start the car and set off but after about 20 seconds i think its fine. think its the idle control valve doing its job but slightly tired
-
#3mind does this also
i saw something so where (maybe one hear) that its to do with the box design ?
any how if you can change fast enough it will never drop -
#4if i change gear very slowly and at slowish revs/speed it does not do it much but the faster you go and rev through the gears, the less the revs drop in between clutching in and throttle off

#5Did you ever find the cause of this problem mate? My GTi is doing the same thing?
-
#6Take throttle bodie off and give it a good clean and also take the icv out an give that a good clean mate

#8A faulty tps will also give sticking revs.

#10Mine does this too but only between 1st and 2nd, and then between 2nd and 3rd but no other gear!
