saxo vtr revs not dropping when changing gear

Each time i change gear the revs stay high and do not drop for at least 2 or 3 seconds, does anyone know what this issue is? as i also had it on my last vtr!, do they all do this im wondering?. I like the revs to fall away sharpish when changing up, then cut back in as per normal! please help with this as its very annoying. Many thanks

is this all the time or when just starting. mine does it when i first start the car and set off but after about 20 seconds i think its fine. think its the idle control valve doing its job but slightly tired

    mind does this also

i saw something so where (maybe one hear) that its to do with the box design ?

any how if you can change fast enough it will never drop

if i change gear very slowly and at slowish revs/speed it does not do it much but the faster you go and rev through the gears, the less the revs drop in between clutching in and throttle off

Did you ever find the cause of this problem mate? My GTi is doing the same thing?

Take throttle bodie off and give it a good clean and also take the icv out an give that a good clean mate

A faulty tps will also give sticking revs.

Mine does this too but only between 1st and 2nd, and then between 2nd and 3rd but no other gear!
