clicking/whining noise

   If it needs a CV joint its a hub nut off job, split the ball joints and pull the drive shaft out and replace with a new one. Garage would probably charge £150 labour (low estimate) plus parts.
   Driveshafts usually knock when you turn if they are shot so this whining noise you have, to me atleast, sounds like a dodgy gearbox and this is a much bigger job than just a driveshaft. Personally I'd walk away and find a different saxo

   When did it have this gearbox? Is the oil up the level?
   You can get many a good saxo for £500

   couple years back. will check. yer ive been looking for the past month. and looked any many and this was immaculate outside with vts wheels. 65k no rust or anything so good base. the others i have seen have been scruffy for same price.

   Fair play, changing a shaft or gearbox isnt the end of the world but if you can avoid it as you wont really recoup the money on a furio if you ever sell

   I bought a vtr after 3 months of driving, and it was 500 quid, with no mot, and I got told by the bloke who mot'd it just to scrap it as it will end up killing me! But on the outside it looked amazing, gotta know everything about what your buying or it may bite you in the ass, I lost 500 quid!

    yer i totally understand the risks and that mate. and vtr can be picked up for next to nothing nowadays but insurance is too steep for me.
    its had FSH , a new clutch,radiotor,gearbox,alternator,battery in the time the fella has had it (4 years)
    a drive shaft cocts 35 new on a website i found from this forum.
    a gearbox can be picked up for upto 100 easy and have a few mates who would help fit it for a pint haha.
    
    
    
    
    
    plans for it are:
    
    -lower down a touch not too much as i need it to go over speedbumps easy enough
    -i want to smoke the headlights and mesh the grill but leaving the badge there
    -and maybe the wheels in an atharite grey
    
    
    dont wana go full out on outside only cheap do myself mods.
    
    inside:
    -speakers ive already got
    -headunit ive already got.
    -fibreglass dock for ipod
    -and ive just made a dual 2.3cuft box for the boot tuned to 35hz
    
    engine:
    -air filter
    -supersprint back box (no mahoosive bins on back of car lol)
